PHYSIOTHERAPY CAN HELP WITH MANY CONDITIONS:
Physiotherapy is primarily about improving the way you move and function. Pain and injury happen, and can prevent you functioning properly leading to sometimes devastating effects on your well-being. Your Allied Physiotherapist will assess, diagnose and treat your injury, and assist you in reaching your goals. In doing so we aim to improve your quality of life or performance.
MYOTHERAPY
MYOTHERAPY CONSULTATIONS IN OCEAN GROVE:
If you are suffering from musculoskeletal pain, injuries, or dysfunctions that are having an impact on your movement and/or mobility, then myotherapy may be just what you need. Myotherapy involves the assessment and treatment of these conditions and is used in all stages of therapy to restore and maintain the integrity and correct function.
REMEDIAL MASSAGE
Remedial massage is defined as the systematic assessment and treatment of the muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissues of the body to assist in rehabilitation, pain and injury management. It is performed to create favourable conditions that allow the body to return to normal health after injury, thereby relieving the physical effects a patient may present with. Remedial massage is designed to balance muscle and soft tissue length, tension and tone which will in turn promote normal return of joint/capsular/bone function.
DIETETICS & NUTRITION
Established in 2007, Bodywise Nutrition provides high quality and sound nutrition advice to residents of the Bellarine Peninsula. Bodywise Nutrition operates from the Drysdale Village Medical Centre and Ocean Grove Allied Health in Ocean Grove. Sally Hanks, owner of Bodywise Nutrition, is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) and Accredited Nutritionist (AN). Sally is a university qualified expert in nutrition and provides professional, evidence-based care which is tailored to each individual. Sally has a special interest in paediatric/adult Allergies and Intolerances, gastrointestinal disorders (including Coeliac Disease, Inflammatory Bowel Disease: Ulcerative Colitis, Crohn’s Disease, and Irritable Bowel Syndrome), Diabetes and Insulin Resistance, Cardiovascular heart health and weight management issues.
AUDIOLOGY
Clinical audiology at Ocean Grove Allied Health is a specialised healthcare service dedicated to diagnosing and treating hearing and balance disorders. Our audiologist employs a range of advanced techniques and tools to provide comprehensive care, from thorough hearing evaluations to personalised hearing aid fittings and rehabilitation services, enhancing the auditory well-being and quality of life of our patients.
We offer comprehensive hearing care services, including free hearing health checks and full tests, precise hearing aid fittings, ongoing tuning and adjustments, efficient hearing aid repairs, thorough clean and checks, as well as specialised tinnitus testing and counseling to address your specific auditory needs. Support for DVA and pensioners who may be eligible for the HSP program.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
Nicole Beardsley is a senior occupational therapist specialising in the completion of SDA and SIL reports utilising telehealth services for rural and remote Australians or those unable to access this service due to long waiting lists.
Nicole is also passionate about women’s health and through her engaging workshops she supports women to learn how to manage stress, overwhelm, burnout and fatigue.
